von der Leyen: We will support Montenegro's EU membership
Brussels, October 1 (Hibya) - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said their support for Montenegro's European Union accession process would continue.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said in a statement that they stand behind Montenegro's "28 by 28" goal and will support the country throughout the process.
von der Leyen said the accession process is approaching its final stage and that completing it would send a strong message to the Western Balkans. She added that reforms are delivering results and that European Union membership is within reach.
