Brussels, January 15 (Hibya) – European Union (EU) Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that a comprehensive, fair, and lasting solution for Cyprus and all Cypriots remains the European Union’s absolute priority.
EU Commission President von der Leyen said that her visit to the Green Line in Nicosia was deeply moving.
Emphasizing that a comprehensive, fair, and lasting solution for Cyprus and all Cypriots continues to be the European Union’s absolute priority, von der Leyen said: “For this reason, I hope that 2026 will give new momentum to the process toward the reunification of Cyprus.”
