UAE Ministry of Defense: 15 ballistic missiles from Iran neutralized
Abu Dhabi, March 26 (Hibya) - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Defense announced that missile and drone (UAV) attacks originating from Iran were intercepted by air defense systems.
The UAE Ministry of Defense shared details of the defense operations carried out against attacks targeting the country's airspace.
The statement said: "On March 26, 2026, UAE air defense systems neutralized 15 ballistic missiles and 11 unmanned aerial vehicles coming from Iran."
The ministry also provided data on the overall scale of defense operations since the beginning of the attacks: "Since the start of Iran's reckless attacks, UAE air defense systems have countered 372 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,826 unmanned aerial vehicles."
The statement also included information on casualties, noting that 2 soldiers on duty and 1 Moroccan civilian contractor were killed, while 8 civilians of different nationalities lost their lives. In addition, 169 people from 29 different nationalities, including citizens of Türkiye, Egypt, Jordan, Sweden, and India, were injured with minor, moderate, and severe wounds.
