Tsahkna: Our security priority in the Mediterranean and the Baltic
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna met with his Spanish counterpart in Madrid to discuss pressuring Russia for a fair and lasting peace in Ukraine, strengthening NATO’s European wing, and increasing the European Union’s (EU) competitiveness.
During the meeting in Madrid, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna emphasized the importance of strengthening security cooperation in the Mediterranean and the Baltic Sea.
Key issues discussed included pressuring Russia to achieve a fair and lasting peace in Ukraine, combating shadow fleets, strengthening NATO’s European wing, and increasing the EU’s global competitiveness.
Minister Tsahkna thanked for the warm reception in Madrid, stating, “It was an especially warm welcome, especially by Tallinn standards.”
