Trump: If there is no agreement, the conflicts will start again
Washington, April 16 (Hibya) – U.S. President Donald Trump made a statement regarding the negotiations with Iran and disagreements with the Vatican.
U.S. President Donald Trump reiterated his stance on Iran’s nuclear program, responded to Pope Leo XIV’s criticism regarding the situation in the region, and assessed the current state of contacts with the Tehran administration.
Continuing his messages to the Vatican, Trump said: “It is very important for the Pope to understand this. Iran killed 42 thousand completely unarmed people. These were protesters. Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. If it did, every country in the world would be in great trouble.”
Referring to the ongoing talks with Iran, Trump stated: “Iran wants to make a deal, and we are talking with them very well. We must not have nuclear weapons. This is a very important factor, and today they are ready to do things they were unwilling to do two months ago.”
Emphasizing that the negotiations are at a critical stage, Trump said: “If there is no agreement, the conflicts will start again. The blockade was incredible; they are resisting, they are doing no business, everything is gone, including their leaders. Now there is a new leadership team, and we find them very reasonable.”
