Sybiha: We call on the international community to condemn IPC’s immoral actions
Kyiv, March 3 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha spoke about the International Paralympic Committee’s (IPC) ban on national uniforms featuring the map of Ukraine.
Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha issued a statement regarding the IPC’s restrictions on the Ukrainian Paralympic Team and its stance toward Russian and Belarusian athletes.
Sybiha said: “The International Paralympic Committee banned the Ukrainian Paralympic Team from wearing its national uniform because it contained elements of the map of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.”
Calling the situation immoral, Sybiha stated: “There is no level of moral depravity that IPC bureaucrats cannot reach. They are ready to violate UN General Assembly resolutions, Ukraine’s territorial integrity, and international law just to please Russian war criminals.”
He concluded with a boycott call: “We call on the international community, all countries, and national Paralympic committees to condemn IPC’s immoral actions and to boycott the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Paralympic Games.”
