Sybiha: Ukraine highly appreciates the United Kingdom’s decision
Kyiv, March 26 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that they welcome the United Kingdom’s decision to stop ships belonging to Russia’s "shadow fleet" used to circumvent sanctions.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha evaluated the new measures taken by the UK government against Russia’s illegal maritime trade activities.
Emphasizing the importance of the decision, Sybiha said: "Ukraine highly appreciates the United Kingdom’s decision to stop ships belonging to Russia’s ‘shadow fleet’ in its territorial waters."
Noting that the Kremlin will face further restrictions in accessing resources, Sybiha stated: "This decisive measure represents an important step toward further limiting the Kremlin’s access to resources used to finance its ongoing aggression against Ukraine."
Expressing special thanks to UK Home Secretary Yvette Cooper, Sybiha concluded his statement with the following words:
