Sybiha: Hungary has entered a cycle of lawlessness
Kyiv, March 9 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that Hungary attempted to legalize the theft of Ukrainian state bank funds; he said those responsible for violations of Ukrainian citizens’ rights will be held accountable.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha said Hungary has entered a cycle of lawlessness and, after the theft of funds belonging to the Ukrainian state bank, introduced a bill that would “legalize” this action.
Minister Sybiha described this initiative as a de facto admission that Hungary’s actions have no legal basis.
In a statement on social media, Sybiha said:
“They are not only trying to legalize the theft of money, they are adding lawlessness on top of lawlessness. We will hold everyone involved in this process accountable; not only for the theft of the money, but above all for the violations of the European Convention on Human Rights and the Vienna Convention against seven Ukrainian citizens.”
