Sugar supply and price stability discussed in Pakistan
Islamabad, July 11 (Hibya) - Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level meeting on ensuring adequate sugar supply and maintaining price stability.
According to information shared by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a high-level meeting to assess the country's sugar supply situation and price stability.
During the meeting, where presentations were delivered by the Ministry of National Food Security and Research and provincial food departments, current sugar stocks, production projections, and market price developments were reviewed. Following a comprehensive assessment, the committee expressed satisfaction that sugar supplies and stock levels across the country were sufficient.
Speaking at the meeting, Ishaq Dar stressed that the government remains committed to ensuring an uninterrupted supply of sugar at affordable prices. He stated that a zero-tolerance policy would be enforced against hoarding, speculation, and artificial price increases.
