Saidov: 10 decisions adopted at CIS Council of Foreign Ministers meeting
Tashkent, April 18 (Hibya) – Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov announced that 10 decisions aimed at strengthening multilateral cooperation were adopted at the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Saidov reported that an expanded meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers was held.
Saidov stated that the outcomes of joint efforts among member states were evaluated at the meeting and that plans and priorities for the long term were discussed.
It was also noted that preparations for the CIS Council of Heads of State meeting, planned to be held in October this year in Turkmenistan, were discussed.
Minister Saidov announced that as a result of the discussions, an agreement was reached on 10 decisions aimed at comprehensively strengthening multilateral cooperation, and these decisions were adopted.
It was stated that the adopted decisions are expected to contribute to the development of relations among CIS member states, ensure regional stability, and support socio-economic development.
