Qatar’s Prime Minister meets European Council President in Doha
Doha, April 15 (Hibya) – Qatar and the European Union relations, regional developments, and energy security were discussed during a meeting in Doha.
Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with European Council President Antonio Costa, who is visiting the country.
During the meeting, the latest regional developments were discussed, particularly the ceasefire process between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as diplomatic efforts to reduce regional tensions.
The parties also reviewed ways to strengthen relations between the State of Qatar and the European Union and to deepen cooperation in energy, trade, and investment. Qatar’s contribution to global energy security, particularly through liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply, was also emphasized.
European Council President Antonio Costa stated that the European Union stands in solidarity with Qatar regarding regional developments and attaches importance to strengthening economic relations.
