Portugal: We strongly condemn executions of protesters in Iran
Lisbon, August 13 (Hibya) - Portugal, together with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, condemned the executions of protesters in Iran and the systematic use of the death penalty.
Portugal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement regarding the executions of protesters in Iran.
The statement strongly condemned Iran's executions of protesters and its systematic use of the death penalty, stressing that capital punishment is unacceptable.
The statement said the Iranian people must be able to freely exercise their freedom of expression and right to peaceful assembly, calling for these rights to be protected.
