Palestinian Cabinet to Hold Emergency Meeting
Ramallah, July 17 (Hibya) – The Office of the Prime Minister of the State of Palestine announced that the Cabinet will hold an emergency meeting.
According to the statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the emergency meeting will be held this evening to address unprecedented and serious challenges resulting from the continued withholding of Palestinian tax revenues by Israeli authorities.
The statement noted that the session will discuss the severe impact of this policy on the ability of Palestinian state institutions to provide essential public services, as well as delays in the disbursement of public sector salaries.
“These developments pose significant risks to the stability, security, and protection of the Palestinian people’s resources and national institutions. After the meeting, the Cabinet will issue a statement summarizing the decisions and outcomes.”
