Oil prices edge lower on hopes of easing US-Iran tensions
Istanbul, February 18 (Hibya) - Oil prices edged lower on Wednesday as progress in US-Iran talks raised hopes of reduced tensions and lower supply disruption risks.
Brent futures fell 3 cents to $67.39 a barrel, while WTI slipped 5 cents to $62.28, both near two-week lows.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said the sides agreed on “guiding principles” in nuclear talks, though this does not mean a deal is imminent.
Analysts remained cautious about the durability of progress.
