Lahbib meets with Ireland’s Minister for Children, Disability and Equality Foley
Brussels, March 9 (Hibya) - EU Commissioner for Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib announced that during her first meeting with Ireland’s Minister for Children, Disability and Equality Norma Foley, they discussed the Equal Treatment Directive and Ireland’s preparations for the Presidency of the EU Council.

Providing information about the content of the meeting, Lahbib said: “Our first meeting with Ireland’s Minister for Children, Disability and Equality Norma Foley was successful. We discussed the Equal Treatment Directive and Ireland’s Presidency plans regarding equality.”
Expressing expectations for the period during which Ireland will lead, Lahbib stated: “We expect an ambitious equality agenda during Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.”
