Kristersson: I sincerely wish you all a very happy Midsummer
Stockholm, June 19 (Hibya) - Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson celebrated the country's traditional Midsummer holiday and stated that he continues to defend Sweden's interests at the EU leaders' summit in Brussels.
Referring to the festive spirit among the Swedish people and the efforts of employees who remain on duty during the holiday period, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson emphasized the importance of his diplomatic engagements in Brussels.
Congratulating citizens on the holiday and thanking those who are working, Kristersson said: "I sincerely wish you all a very happy Midsummer. Preferably without rain, but full of herring, cake, and Swedish strawberries."
Kristersson added: "A big thank you to all of you who are working today, helping Sweden function and allowing others to enjoy their freedom. I hope you too will soon get the well-deserved rest you deserve."
Highlighting his role at the summit, Kristersson concluded: "I myself am in Brussels at the EU summit, defending Sweden's interests. That is also a very good way to celebrate Midsummer."
