Kos: Moldova opens Chapter 6 of EU accession negotiations
Brussels, July 14 (Hibya) – European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos announced that Moldova has opened Chapter 6 of its European Union accession negotiations, adding that reforms will continue to enable the opening of the remaining negotiation chapters.

Kos said Chapter 6 covers areas in which Moldova can make a strong contribution to Europe's stability as a future member of the European Union.
She noted that Moldova has become one of Europe's most experienced countries in countering hybrid threats, adding that this expertise is already strengthening the European Union.
Emphasizing the importance of maintaining the momentum achieved in the enlargement process, Kos stressed that reforms must continue with determination to enable the opening of the remaining negotiation chapters.
