Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto made a statement regarding the work carried out by the Rome Prosecutor's Office and special operations units.

Crosetto said the evidence gathered clearly reveals Russia's stance toward Italy, adding that his country has long been facing hybrid threats.

“The facts that have emerged show that there is a daily hybrid conflict, a continuous covert war aimed at weakening our institutions, our alliances, and our security,” Crosetto said.

He argued that only the visible part of these activities has been uncovered, adding that hybrid warfare involves not only external actors but also internal elements willing to harm their own country for personal gain.

Emphasizing that state institutions continue their fight against such threats, Crosetto stated, “Today the state is striking some of them, but this is a continuous and never-ending struggle.”

The Italian Defense Minister thanked all institutions and personnel involved in the efforts to safeguard the country's security.
