Israel conducts large-scale airstrike on Tehran
Tel Aviv, March 21 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that a large-scale overnight airstrike targeted ballistic missile production facilities and defense systems in Tehran, causing heavy damage to missile components, fuel production complexes and storage sites.
The IDF stated that, under the direction of its Intelligence Directorate, it carried out a major air operation against designated strategic targets in Iran’s capital, Tehran.
As part of the operation, facilities critical to the development of ballistic missiles were targeted.
Among the sites hit were a central missile component production complex belonging to the Revolutionary Guards, storage facilities for components, and a missile fuel production plant affiliated with the Ministry of Defense.
The IDF said: “The strikes on these facilities significantly damage the capability to produce components vital for ballistic missiles.”
It was also noted that the air operation was not limited to production facilities, as defense systems deployed across Tehran were also struck. The IDF added: “The completed strikes are part of a phase aimed at deepening the damage to core infrastructures.”
