World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Fancy Chepkemoi Too.

Ghebreyesus stated that they discussed the opportunities for expanding the use of digital technology and data to support the strong cooperation between WHO and Kenya, as well as to improve the delivery of healthcare services in Kenya. He also noted that they discussed the strengthening of local pharmaceutical production and the continuation of strong progress in securing universal health insurance. Additionally, he expressed his appreciation for Kenya’s efforts in finalizing the #PandemicAgreement draft with all Member States and thanked Kenya for hosting the WHO emergency center in Nairobi.
