French President Macron meets with Japan’s Prime Minister Ishiba
Paris, April 16 (Hibya) - French President Emmanuel Macron held a meeting with Japan’s Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba.
Macron said that he congratulated Prime Minister Ishiba on the success of the Osaka-Kansai World Expo.
Macron emphasized that they want to further strengthen this partnership, particularly in areas such as civil nuclear energy, critical metals, and defense sectors. We share a common vision based on rules of international trade and mutual benefit. This inclusive approach and commitment to international law applies to all our partnerships in the Indo-Pacific region. Finally, I would like to thank the Japanese people for their unwavering support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. In these difficult times, we see that we are with an exceptional partner.
