In a joint statement, it was announced that the 10th EU–Pakistan Political Dialogue took place in Brussels.

According to the statement, the dialogue addressed key areas of EU–Pakistan bilateral cooperation as well as regional and international issues, including multilateral collaboration. Both parties agreed to deepen dialogue and discussions on security-related matters.

The EU and Pakistan reaffirmed their commitment to implementing the Strategic Engagement Plan (SEP) signed in 2019. Both sides aim to further deepen cooperation across all areas covered under SEP.

The two parties reiterated their determination to maintain close cooperation within the GSP+ framework. Recognizing the importance of meaningful cooperation on migration, they aimed to hold the third Comprehensive Dialogue on Migration and Mobility by the end of 2025.

In addition to bilateral cooperation, regional and global issues were also discussed.
The EU and Pakistan acknowledged the importance of multi-faceted cooperation in security matters, including combating terrorism and drug trafficking.

The EU delegation was led by Deputy Secretary General of the European External Action Service, Olof Skoog, and the Pakistani delegation was led by Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary, Amna Baloch.
