European Parliament emphasizes "food security"
Brussels, June 7 (Hibya) – The European Parliament stated that food security is one of the key elements of national security.
In a statement from the Parliament, it was emphasized that food security is a fundamental component of national security.
The statement noted that the Parliament wants agriculture to be one of the priorities in the EU’s long-term budget.
“Members of the European Parliament called for a modern Common Agricultural Policy, support for small farms, climate-sensitive production, fair income, and safe, quality food.”
