Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded to allegations made by several countries regarding China's ethnic policies.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun responded at today's regular press briefing to what he described as the United States' and the European Union's (EU) so-called concerns over the Law of the People's Republic of China on Promoting Ethnic Unity and Progress, which entered into force on July 1.

Spokesperson Guo said that some countries, driven by ideological prejudice and political manipulation, have ignored China's achievements in economic and social development as well as in the field of human rights.

Guo stated that these countries have smeared China's ethnic policies, fabricated and spread false information, interfered in China's internal affairs, and attempted to undermine the country's ethnic unity, stressing that China firmly opposes such actions.

Guo called on the relevant countries to respect the basic facts, stop spreading falsehoods, refrain from using so-called ethnic issues for political purposes, and cease interfering in China's internal affairs.
