Canada strengthens security and cooperation in the Arctic
Nuuk, February 10 (Hibya) – Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand, during her visit to Nuuk, opened a consulate as part of the country's Arctic policy.
Canadian Foreign Minister Anand held official meetings in Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. As part of the visit, Anand opened the country's consulate as an important step in line with Canada's Arctic Policy. The minister emphasized the government's determination to ensure security in the Arctic and strengthen Canada's presence and cooperation in the region.
Anand will meet with the Prime Minister to attend the Munich Security Conference. During the conference, she will participate in panels discussing Arctic security, Ukraine's sovereignty, and Canada's international defense collaborations, and hold meetings with various foreign counterparts. These discussions, framed within Canada's principled and pragmatic foreign policy approach, will support the country's global security and cooperation objectives.
