Budrys: We need to strengthen NATO’s defense capacity
Munich, February 13 (Hibya) – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys emphasized during a meeting on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference that NATO’s defense spending must be increased.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys met with his Portuguese counterpart Marcos Perestrello as part of the Munich Security Conference (MSC).
Stating that the meeting was productive, Budrys said: “We had a great meeting with Marcos Perestrello on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference. We need to strengthen NATO’s defense capacity and accelerate progress on defense spending.”
Minister Budrys concluded by saying: “These issues will be at the top of the agenda at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA) session in Vilnius and at the NATO Summit in Ankara.”
