Biden accuses Trump and Musk of "hitting" social security
Washington, April 16 (Hibya) - Former US President Joe Biden accused Donald Trump and his billionaire assistant Elon Musk of "hitting" social security while they moved at light speed to dismantle large sections of the federal government.
In his first public statement after leaving office, the former president avoided explicitly mentioning his predecessor and successor, Trump, but sharply criticized the new administration for threatening social security, which Biden called a "sacred promise" relied upon by more than 70 million Americans.
Speaking at the National Conference of Advocates, Consultants, and Representatives for People with Disabilities in Chicago, Biden said, "This new administration has caused so much harm and destruction in less than 100 days. The fact that this has happened so quickly is breathtaking."
Biden said that the Trump administration applied Silicon Valley’s “move fast and break things” concept to the federal government. “They are definitely breaking things. They shoot first, then aim,” Biden said.
